A true Christmas story

Bali, der Hund von Marc-André ter Stegen, wurde seit Samstagmittag vermisst. Der Gladbach-Keeper bat die Fans bei der Suche um Mithilfe.
ter Stegens´ little dog "Bali" back home
This year it seemed to be a sad Christmas party for Borussias Super-Goaly ter Stegen.
One day before Christmas Eve, his little puppy dog called "Bali" was hit by a car and ran away in shock.

Besides the Police, ter Stegen asked his Borussia-Fans for help with a Facebook post.
"It is our deepest wish to have Bali back in our arms"

After this emergency post, hundreds of Borussia-Fans searched the little dog in the City of Mönchengladbach. And their search was successful.

At 3 o`clock pm his cute puppy dog was back home.
After Bali was found, ter Stegen did an other post on Facebook.

"Thank you so much for your help. I am thrilled and speechless. It is incredible to see how many People helped us.  For us it is the perfect Christmas story! "

Not without reason, Borussia-Fans are called the best Fans in the world :)

1:1 draw in Munic - the winner is Borussia

Borussia Mönchengladbach saved one point in the final game of the first half of the season on Friday evening.
Nordveit challenges with Kroos and Ribery

In the first half Borussia was the better team, even if Bayern Munic had more ball possession. Borussia started with a compact defense and they put offense needle stiches to the Bayern defense.  After Munics`Boateng handfoul in the box, Referee Tobias Welz pointed to the spot and Thorben Marx, who had already converted a penalty in the away win at Fürth, sent Bayern keeper Manuel Neuer the wrong way to give his side the lead.

As was to expected, in the second half Bayern hit back with a couple of furious attacks.
But Borussias`Goaly and man of the match, ter Stegen, defused all Bayern opportunities with a great performance. When Munics`Shaquiri shot his team to draw, Borussias` Goaly was powerless. At least Borussia won one point in Munic and Bayern lost two.
...thanks ter Stegen.

Borussias` second suit fits!

The successful debutants in Istanbul
Last Thursday Borussia won the quite unnecessary UEFA Europa League Match against Fenerbahce Istanbul. It was clear before this match, that both teams are already in the knockout stages. Borussias` B-Team triumphed with 3:0 vs. the B-Team of Istanbul.

A team that had never played together before and will probably never line up together again produced a highly motivated and focused performance against an equally reshuffled Fenerbahce Team.

Particularly noticeable were 19year old Amin Younes and returnee Luuk de Jong.
After a long injury break, de Jong needed only twelve minutes playtime to score the 3:0.
This can be regarded as a successful comeback.
But also the first hit by Tolga Cigerci and the second one by Mike Hanke were all worth honoring.

...this Borussia makes fun to look at.

1:1 draw at Schalke - that´s alright!

Borussia earn hard-fought point at Schalke
Juan Arango in a challenge with Schalkes` Holtby
Saturday`s match at the Veltins Arena is a good example of Mönchengladbachs` new-found stability. Borussia were again up against a top side, but in contrast to the performance at Dortmund a few weeks this time they played as a compact unit.

That Borussia were denied all three points was down to Schalke's great strength in depth.

In the end, then, it was not clear whether this was a point won or two dropped. "It's obviously a little disappointing when you concede the equaliser just before the end," said Borussias` coach Favre.

"But overall we have reason to be satisfied. Schalke are among the Bundesliga top three, so to get a point here is not bad."

Objectivly, a victory have been to much. It was a pity but it was a fair result.
...keep on fighting!
